My name is Alix, I am a fashion school graduate.

I currently live in Paris, where I was born and raised.

I started this blog in February of 2007 after working at Alexander McQueen and Chloé, when I was in the midst of preparing my end of the year collection, at which point the Internet seemed like the perfect place to take a break and clear my head. Lo and behold, I began creating odd little articles filled with photos, drawings, and writing.

I never studied photography, but it is a passion that took hold of me at about the same time as blogging.

The name of the blog comes from the song “Cherry Blossom Girl “, by French band AIR.

I’m inspired by everything whimsical , feminine and romantic. Movies ( The Virgin Suicides, Harold & Maud, Picnic at the Hanging Rock, Singing in the rain… ) and music ( Au Revoir Simone, AIR, Warpaint, Empire Of The Sun, The Kinks, Bobby Vinton, the Mamas & The Papas, The Shangri Las, Cat Stevens, The Beach Boys … ).

Before I decided to become a fashion designer, I wanted to make illustrations for children books, then later to design cars and furnitures.
